Storytelling is a well-loved tradition in my dad’s side of the family, stemming from the ultimate storyteller — my grandpa “Pap.” Growing up in an agricultural community, the art of passing time with colorful tales was well refined throughout his large family. As an adult, I’ve grown to appreciate the qualities of a good story on a deeper level given my career path. In reflecting back after his passing a few weeks ago, I gained an even deeper insight into what made those stories so rich.

A Friday afternoon spent trying to understand WTH NFTs are. The world is at a critical point of change, and Design, like everything else, is evolving. The last year of uncertainty and unexpected change has led me to deeply explore and question how Brllnt needs to evolve to stay relevant and even become a leader in this new age we’re entering.

We’re collectively trying to figure out the acceptable protocols, socially acceptable ways and methods, when and where to wear them, and on and on. Aside from the issues of fitting and breathing is our loss of facial expression. We can no longer give a quick glance any time we want. We’re essentially robots from the neck up. And it sucks.
